Village Animal Clinic is a full-service veterinary hospital dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality medical care for pets. Our facility also offers doggy daycare and boarding facility where patients and community pets can play, socialize, and stay active in a safe and supervised environment.

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and energetic Doggy Daycare Attendant to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who loves working with animals and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise group play sessions to ensure all dogs are safe, happy, and appropriately socialized

• Monitor and record dog behavior, health, and activity levels throughout the day

• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized daycare environment — including cleaning equipment, play areas, pools, and water/food bowls

• Follow hospital policies for animal handling, infection control, and emergency procedures

• Communicate effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff about each dog’s behavior, needs, or health concerns

• Assist with check-ins and check-outs.

• Support the veterinary team with animal restraint, patient care, or other tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with dogs (e.g., daycare, kennel, grooming, shelter, or veterinary setting) preferred

• Understanding of basic canine behavior and body language

• Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Reliable, punctual, and attentive to detail

• Must be at least 18 years old
