Hourly Paid Working Shift Leader for Metal Forming Manufacturer on 3rd Shift - 50 hr workweek with Double Time chez Nashville Wire Products

The Material Handling Division of Nashville Wire Products, an established metal forming manufacturer in the material handling industry is accepting resumes for hourly paid shift leader position in production/warehousing area at our Frankfort, Kentucky location. Positions works Sunday through Thursday 7:30 pm until 6:30 am most weeks with occasional additional overtime as required to meet customer demands. This is an hourly paid overtime eligible position reporting directly to the Plant Manager.

Pay Progression  $28.00 start rate, $29.00 90 day rate, $30.00 1 year rate.  Rates include $1.00/hour shift differential.  We are also currently offering a double time for all overtime hours worked incentive.

 Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinating workflow for a work area of approximately 10 employees to ensure production schedules are met in a timely and cost effective manner

• Enforcing quality procedures to ensure quality requirements are met

• Monitoring and improving work center productivity levels

• Participating in continuous improvement activities to reduce operating cost & increase productivity

• Enforcing company policies & administrating disciplinary actions as warranted

• Implementing and sustaining a manufacturing environment committed to world class housekeeping

Job Requirements
Applicants must have a steady work history with a minimum of 3+ years recent supervisory experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment including experience in lean manufacturing and 5S programs. Must have a high sense of Urgency in a fast pace environment. Applicants must pass tape measure test as well as pre- employment drug screen and 7 year criminal background check for felonies and misdemeanors.
