About the Role

As an Assistant Designer for Old Navy, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and creatively charged environment. You’ll bring a “go-getter” attitude, jump in wherever needed, and help bring great ideas to life—big or small. You’ll support the design team in concepting and creating customer-loved, on-brand, and sustainable product that delivers incredible value. This role is perfect for someone who’s curious, eager to learn, and ready to make an impact from day one.

What You'll Do

  • Research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and competitive inspiration.

  • Contribute fresh, creative ideas—be a true “idea factory” who helps push our brand forward.

  • Assist in developing design concepts, sketches, and product lines, bringing strong creative thinking and technical skills to every stage of the process.

  • Prepare and update design boards, CADs, and presentation materials with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Support the design team with data entry, tech packs, and design documentation to ensure smooth product development and timely execution.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, Sourcing, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure product concept through to store and site is seamless.

  • Attend and participate in fit sessions, making updates to sketches and design packages based on feedback and priorities.

  • Stay organized in a fast-paced, multi-season workflow, managing administrative details and deadlines effectively.

Who You Are

  • A proactive, can-do team player who thrives in a fast-moving environment and isn’t afraid to roll up your sleeves.

  • Ego-free and collaborative—you’re ready to pitch in and help wherever needed.

  • Creative and resourceful, with a passion for bringing new ideas and energy to the table.

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel, with an ability to translate ideas visually through sketches and digital renderings.

  • Strong sense of style, color, and proportion, with an understanding of how to translate trends through the Old Navy customer lens.

  • Knowledgeable about silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, and trims, with hands-on understanding of garment construction.

  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and organizational skills.

  • Curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow within a dynamic design team.

  • Experience in Miro a plus.
