As an Assistant Designer for Old Navy, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and creatively charged environment. You’ll support the design team in concepting and creating customer-loved, on-brand, and sustainable product that delivers incredible value. Research global markets to identify new seasonal trends, silhouettes, fabrics, techniques, and competitive inspiration.
Contribute fresh, creative ideas—be a true “idea factory” who helps push our brand forward.
Assist in developing design concepts, sketches, and product lines, bringing strong creative thinking and technical skills to every stage of the process.
Prepare and update design boards, CADs, and presentation materials with accuracy and attention to detail.
Support the design team with data entry, tech packs, and design documentation to ensure smooth product development and timely execution.
Partner cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, Technical Design, Sourcing, Visual Merchandising, and Marketing to ensure product concept through to store and site is seamless.
Attend and participate in fit sessions, making updates to sketches and design packages based on feedback and priorities.
Stay organized in a fast-paced, multi-season workflow, managing administrative details and deadlines effectively.

Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel, with an ability to translate ideas visually through sketches and digital renderings.
Strong sense of style, color, and proportion, with an understanding of how to translate trends through the Old Navy customer lens.
Knowledgeable about silhouette, fit, fabrication, construction, and trims, with hands-on understanding of garment construction.
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and organizational skills.
Curious, adaptable, and motivated to grow within a dynamic design team.
Experience in Miro a plus.
