Summary:

The Patient Engagement Specialist delivers a personalized experience to patients by offering cost transparency, education, and affordable payment options to understand their financial responsibility for healthcare. They will collaborate with their team to align all potential patients with the Providers’ financial clearance policy. This role requires a firm understanding of health insurance and some experience in a call center environment.

Reports to: Patient Engagement Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Navigate patients through the education of their health insurance prior to care
• Virtually enroll patients in payment programs using the FinPass electronic financial record platform
• Maintain a strong attention to detail and patients' needs
• Maintain the confidentiality of patient data under HIPAA laws and regulations.
• Alignment with FinPay quality assurance standards daily.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Provide open feedback and ideas on process improvement.

• Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of customer service experience or call center experience.
• Experience communicating with patients and understanding health insurance
• Virtual point of sale transactions
• Effective communication skills via both phone and email.
• Must be available for varied shifts 9 am-9 pm EDT; opportunities for overtime available

Location: This role is fully remote; FinPay is in the Philadelphia Area

Compensation: $45,000/yr

Status: Full Time, hourly
