To support our rapid growth, we’re seeking a dynamic Strategic Sourcing Coordinator to support our public sector sourcing operations.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and excels at managing sourcing timelines, coordinating across teams, and communicating clearly with stakeholders. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the success of reverse auction events by facilitating collaboration, maintaining project momentum, and supporting supplier and customer engagement—without being responsible for deep analytical modeling.
Responsibilities
- Manage sourcing event timelines and milestones from kickoff through contract launch, including progress tracking and maintaining documentation
- Partner with internal teams (analysts, sales, category managers) to ensure deliverables are met.
- Review procurement documents and contracts to extract key milestones, requirements, and timelines.
- Analyze buying agency (customer) needs and translate them into actionable sourcing plans.
- Conduct process mapping to identify gaps and improve workflows.
- Perform market research to assess supplier landscape and sourcing viability.
- Create feasibility summaries and procurement cycle overviews for internal and external stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for suppliers and public agency clients during sourcing events.
- Guide suppliers through the reverse auction process and ensure readiness, including support in onboarding and providing updates throughout the sourcing lifecycle.
- Lead discussions on procurement processes, bid progress, and post-event wrap-ups.
- Escalate issues and ensure timely resolution to maintain strong relationships.
- Align sourcing activities with broader business and customer goals.
- Support the development of sourcing summaries and post-event documentation.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in procurement coordination, sourcing support, or public sector procurement operations
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Supply Chain, Communications, or related field)
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Familiarity with reverse auction platforms or public procurement processes strongly preferred
- Comfort working with qualitative data and document analysis
- Experience with process mapping or workflow documentation is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with professionalism
- Strong ownership mindset and proactive problem-solving skills
