What you'll be doing:

  • Follow and enforce established safety and operating procedures.
  • Correct unsafe conditions in work area and notify ESH Officer and/or Designated Manager of any uncorrectable conditions immediately.
  • Ability to perform or lead activities as it relates to field service, instrumentation calibrations and loop checks.
  • Ability to successfully manage the relationship with the client and other stakeholders.
  • Receive customer sales and service inquires and interview customers to assess requirements.
  • Prepare supporting information and documentation required by project managers for quotes and proposals.
  • Manage sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Manage customer expectations and provide status reports.
  • Provide peer review of calibration, maintenance and loop checks documentation.

What we’re looking for:

    • Associate degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent directly related combination of education and business experience.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience implementing control system projects and 5 years’ experience leading or managing teams.
    • Strong electrical knowledge to include ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and ability to troubleshoot electrical problems.
    • Background in process control instrumentation.
    • Participate in nonconformance investigations, root cause analysis and assignment/implementation of corrective actions.
    • Knowledge of products from major valve and instrumentation companies.
    • Knowledge and understanding of personal computers and use of Microsoft such as Word and Excel.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Able to lead/motivate while working as part of a team.
    • Highly dependable with strong work-ethic.

    Hiring Range:

    The hiring range for this position is $112k-$120k annually plus Quarterly Profit Sharing. This is the base pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate along with the requirements of the position. In addition, you will receive a company performance bonus structured to match the thrill of your success stories.

    Expected Hours: 

    The job is typically Monday-Friday, 8-10 hours per day. Must also be available for after-hours and weekend work as customer needs dictate. 

    Work Environment:

    Primarily work in customer facilities including but not limited to: Clean rooms, GMP controlled environments, light and heavy industrials site. Work indoors in general office environment as well as outdoors where conditions may be hot or cold, dry or wet. While at customer’s site, employee will be required to wear the appropriate PPE for specific customer sites. PPE may include but limited to sanitary booties, gowns, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, safety glasses, etc.

    Physical Demands: 

    This job will require significant amounts of standing. This job requires the use of a computer and a telephone. Sitting, walking, bending and occasional lifting up to 50lbs (overhead, waist level) from floor. Frequent near vision required for reading, computer use and instrument handling. Must be able to safely use manual tools, power equipment and calibration equipment that is common in the construction and electrical trades. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical and other environmental hazards.

    Travel:

    Will regularly visit customer sites within home region. Travel within larger Caltrol Territory 10% of time may include occasional overnight travel.
