Supply Chain Assistant, full-time chez Valley View Hospital

Valley View Hospital is seeking a qualified individual to work as a full-time Supply Chain Assistant in our Supply Chain department.  This is a day-shift position.  Must be available to work one weekend in December for physical inventory.  This position is responsible for providing support to the Purchasing department with day-to-day operations. Required to work multiple Saturdays in November/December for annual physical inventory. 

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains vendor, item, inventory, and stock files within department MMIS.
• Identifies and corrects data conflicts and issues within department MMIS.
• May assist with purchasing tasks.
• Participates in data collection and assembly for reports.
• Assists in data and benchmark gathering activities, as requested, to aid purchasing staff in the value analysis process.
• Provides data entry for patient supply charges and other documents into the MMIS as necessary.
• Assists in coordinating return of damaged or defective goods to the proper vendor or distributor.
• Participates in physical inventories and supply cycle counting as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Skills:

• Must be well organized, self-motivated and have stable working habits.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Work requires critical thinking and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient telephone and personal computing skills, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word, and all relevant material management information systems.

SALARY

• Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
• Wage range:  $19.00/hour - $25.66/hour
