About The PositionAs Sourcing responsible for secondary and non-ferrous raw materials to the Höganäs sites in Germany/Belgium and Sweden (m/f/d) you take full ownership of the portfolio, both tactically and strategically. The part of the role dedicated to secondary raw materials is a newly formed and separated responsibility and is currently in an establishing phase. This new role would have a possibility to influence the design of the secondary raw material sourcing process. In this role there are a lot of interaction and collaboration with technical and plants as well as external interfaces. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the sourcing activities withing the scope of the portfolio with the aim of identifying & minimizing sourcing risks, establishing long-term and sustainable sourcing strategies and developing a supplier base that ensures Höganäs sources the best possible product or service.Location depends on the candidate but one of Ath in Belgium, Goslar or Laufenburg in Germany or Höganäs in Sweden.Your Activities Will Include

  • Execution of tactical sourcing (Contracting)
  • Development, execution and monitoring of sourcing strategies
  • Ensuring a continuous and long-term supply
  • Establishing and maintaining professional and long-term business relationships
  • Identifying potential suppliers and alternative raw materials
  • Responsible for the sale of waste materials from the plants in Germany and Belgium
  • Coordination, collection and consolidation of market information
  • Carrying out activities in accordance with the procurement process management system
Your profileYou have a relevant university degree or equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a commercial function or in purchasing in an international environment. A high level of financial and cultural understanding rounds off your professional profile perfectly. You are experienced in dealing with quality and management systems. Personally, you are characterized by negotiating skills, customer orientation, initiative, an organized and planning approach and integrity. Good technical background and understanding as well as experience from metal markets is beneficial. We require a very good command of English.
