Summary

This hybrid position, based in Baltimore, will have responsibilities and time allocation equally divided between the marketing and sponsorship teams, reporting to both the Director or Corporate Partnerships and Director of Marketing.

Sponsorship: To maximize sales, this position will support national and local Sponsorship Sales, overseeing the fulfillment of local, regional, and national accounts by ensuring the delivery of contractual elements and providing excellent customer service.

Marketing: this position will provide support to the marketing team at the France-Merrick Performing Arts Center, with a focus on Broadway tours, providing administrative support, executing marketing strategies, and supporting social media management.

Duties and Responsibilities

SPONSORSHIP:

  • Serving as a liaison between departments to ensure sponsor fulfillment (marketing, sales, operations, ticketing, etc.)
  • Assist in maintenance of key national and local accounts
  • Assist in maintaining strong client relationships by providing excellent customer service
  • Assist with sponsor ticketing needs
  • Participate in applicable meetings and calls
  • Assist in proof of performance recap process
  • Assist in national proof of performance recaps following the established national guidelines
  • Assist in local sponsorship venue benefit execution to include: on-site signage coordination and placement, planning and executing local and national sponsor sweepstakes programs, ensuring sponsorship brand inclusion on all applicable marketing collateral, sponsor program coordination and ad placement, coordinating lobby displays and on-site activations, and sponsor logo and advertisement website and mobile app coordination.
  • Additional responsibilities will include: providing assistance for Director of Sales by conducting research, lead generation, developing presentations, etc.
  • Plan, coordinate and facilitate pre- and post-show events.
  • Maintain and update sales materials, schedules and inventory trackers
  • Events, opening nights and other client activities may occur outside normal business hours. Some travel may be necessary.

MARKETING:

  • Assist the marketing manager with trafficking of marketing assets for approval, as needed
  • Assist manager and director with distribution of promo/trade tickets
  • Collaborate with Broadway Across America’s Regional Director of Marketing and Marketing Manager for social media content.
  • Coordinate with part time office assistance to update all venue signage, flyer racks, interior banners and signage, etc. 
  • Support occasional onsite activities including, but not limited to, Broadway series subscriber information tables, post-show chat backs with cast members, and other retention initiatives for the Broadway Series
  • Oversee Subscriber ID Program. Engage and maintain relationships with local restaurants, attractions, and other neighborhood businesses to provide exclusive discounts or promotions for Broadway series subscribers and to extend the reach of marketing and PR campaigns for non-Broadway series events.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

  • Assist with the coordination of Playbill (design - printing - delivery) approvals and delivery for all applicable events at the FMPAC. 
  • Assist Marketing Manager with updating external event calendars and listings for all events at the FMPAC. Continue to explore new places to list our events.
  • Assist Director to ensure press dropbox is always up to date with photos/videos.

WEBSITE/APP/SOCIAL

  • Assist Marketing Manager with web and app updates, as requested.
  • Regularly review websites and app for errors or updates
  • Respond to customer service and other direct inquiries on the venue’s social media channels
  • Assist Marketing Manager with organic social content creation.
  • Ensure admin support for social is up to date (Linktree, icons, sub group)

ADMINISTRATION/MISC

  • Assist Director and Manager with invoices and reconciliations as needed
  • Look out for new relationships/influencers/business we should be in contact with for promotion, press, or community outreach

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Theatre or Arts Administration preferred.
