Lead Veterinary Technician — Feline Exclusive — Philadelphia PA
The Cat Doctor — a feline-only practice serving Philadelphia since 1983 — is seeking an experienced, compassionate veterinary technician with leadership experience to join us as our Lead Technician.

About the role
The Lead Veterinary Technician works closely with the Medical Director and Practice Manager to support workflow, medical quality, patient comfort, and client experience. This is a hands-on leadership role — you set the tone on the floor.
Schedule & Compensation
Full-time: 40 hours/week
Average 8-hour shifts
Weekends required
Pay: negotiable based on experience/skills
Key responsibilities
Train, mentor, and support technicians + assistants
Maintain workflow efficiency and standards of care
Provide skilled feline anesthesia & surgical monitoring (required)
Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
Support a calm, positive team culture
Requirements
3+ years in veterinary medicine
Anesthesia experience (required)
Leadership experience preferred
CVT/LVT/RVT certification or current enrollment preferred
Not an entry-level position
