The Role
We are excited to attract a Plant Manager who has proven leadership skills to help shape a high-performing team towards operational excellence. This position will oversee safety, quality, production efficiencies, machine uptime, waste minimization, maintenance, and engineering. This role will serve as a member of our leadership team, requiring discretion and independent judgement. They will have to access confidential information in addition to considering, comparing, and evaluating data and processes, and recommending different courses of action.
Requirements
Specific duties:
· Responsible for creating an environment of teamwork focused on producing quality products.
· Sets the example of safe operation by following established guidelines and holds self and other accountable.
· Drives continuous improvement and KPI results.
· Maintain open communication with employees and ensure their improvement ideas and operation concerns are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner.
· Implement policies to maintain employee morale through fair and consistent application of company policies.
· Work directly with Maintenance by evaluating machinery or tools and creating maintenance work orders and following through completion.
· Responsible for efficient use of labor on a day-to-day basis.
· Monitor and control waste to manage production costs and reduce environmental impacts
· Coach and counsel team members to perform in accordance with the INDEVCO culture, values, and standards and working directly with Human Resources on all disciplinary matters.
· Manage verification, validation, and best practices in IPL’s Food Safety Plan as determined by the Food Safety Management System.
· Manage Personnel Processing Practices in IPL’s Food Safety Plan as determined by the Food Safety Management System.
· Collaborate with team members to develop standard operating procedures and maintain documented improvements driven by lean initiatives.
· Lead and facilitate continuous improvement activities (e.g., Kaizen events, process audits) to systematically identify and eliminate process inefficiencies.
· Apply proven root-cause analysis methods, such as Five Whys, Fishbone Diagram, to facilitate team problem-solving and deep investigation of problems or failures.
· Other duties as instructed by the Director of Operations.
Standards of Performance:
· Meets Safety Targets (Training, Observations, Dart, OIR)
· Meets production targets OEE. (% performance to production plan)
· Meets quality targets. (Number of complaints and NCM)
· Meets waste targets. (Waste %)
· Meets financial targets.
· Meet all Environmental Compliance (Air Permits, Waste, Storm Water, etc.)
Physical Demand.
· Must be able to work on the plant floor 50% of time.

Education & Experience
· 7-10 years of experience in Flexible Packaging, blown film is preferred.
· Prior experience working in an SQF facility preferred.
· Excellent analytical and project management skills.
· Must have advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
· Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
