Job Summary:

As a Franchise Business Consultant, your work will directly impact the success of the enterprise by influencing the performance and profitability of each Anytime Fitness Franchisee in your territory. You will assist Franchisees by providing a wide range of consulting and development services, developing, and facilitating strategic initiatives to promote sales growth and profitability, and ensuring consistency through education and guidance on in-studio and multi-unit operations.

Successful coaches will leverage their industry and business development experience to assess current performance, identify areas of opportunity, recommend solutions based upon best practices, develop an action plan, and follow up to encourage follow through.

The Franchise Business Consultant reports to the Senior Manager Franchise Business Consultant. This position will provide service across multiple states and communities and may require up to 10% travel within and outside of their assigned geographical territory. When not traveling this position will work from a remote home office or if local, the Woodbury, MN Corporate office.


 

Purpose/Impact: (Duties & Essential Functions)

  • Successfully leverage persuasive data, information and learnings from the broader franchise to provide constructive feedback and encourage change.
  • Use financial information to help the franchisee gain insights into the profitability and performance of their business. Leverage a keen understanding of what drives profitability in an Anytime Fitness unit.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in the fitness industry and our operations. Provide practical advice to help franchisees improve the efficiency of their operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the franchisees to develop a business/operational plan that includes specific goals with key initiatives and deadlines. Create and review plans on a regular basis and provide expert evaluation, training, advice and recommendations.
  • Guide and support franchisees to grow their revenue and local market share in a way that is consistent with the company’s brand and marketing strategy.
  • Leverage coaching skills to help franchisees maintain their enthusiasm for the business and focus their attention on achieving higher levels of performance. Leverage coaching skills including active listening, powerful questioning and goal setting.
  • Assist franchisees to continually improve their knowledge and learn new skills.
  • Communicate and reinforce compliance to minimum operational standards in an objective and balanced way.
  • Present informational presentations for franchisee training programs including New Franchisee training, Regional Training (Vitals), e-Learning and Annual Conference to increase program adoption.
  • Effectively balance the interests of both the franchisee and franchisor.

Core Competencies: Strong ability to influence, organize and communicate (speaking, written, presentation) with franchisees and their team. Relationship building, Diplomacy, Urgency, Collaborative approach, Strategic thinking, Analytical reasoning and Decision making, Creative Problem Solving and Emotional Intelligence skills.

Additional Background

  • Bachelor's degree in a fitness, or business-related field
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in the following: fitness industry, business industry, or franchising
  • Anytime Fitness brand knowledge
  • Proven personal training sales experience

Salary Range: $68k - $71k

WORK SCHEDULE
Purpose Brands LLC, currently observe the following hybrid work model for employees at our Boca Raton (FL), Woodbury (MN), and Seattle (WA) offices:

  • Remote optional: Wednesdays and Fridays

  • On-site days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
