The Associate Director for the Procell InSite Program will play a pivotal role in overseeing technical project management, hardware development, and application/portal delivery leveraging low-code and AI platforms. Reporting to the Technical Leader of Procell InSite, this role will work closely with the R&D team, Product Management and cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of program objectives. The successful candidate will oversee agile squads, hardware & mechanical engineers, and application developers to deliver robust, scalable solutions that meet business, customer and user needs in multiple market verticals. This role is based in Atlanta with up to 10% travel.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Lead and coordinate project management activities, including agile/squad processes, backlog prioritization, and cross-team collaboration.Hardware Oversight:
Supervise the design, development, and testing of hardware and mechanical components, ensuring reliability, scalability, and alignment with program goals.Application/Portal Development:
Oversee the development and deployment of applications and portals using low-code and AI platforms, ensuring seamless integration with hardware and data systems.Integration & Delivery:
Ensure cohesive integration of hardware, software, and portal solutions; manage deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts.Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, build consensus, and communicate progress.Quality & Performance:
Implement rigorous testing and validation procedures; monitor key performance indicators to ensure high-quality deliverables.Team Leadership:
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment with direct reports in the US and offshore. Drive team organization into self-managing, cross-functional squads.Budget & Resource Management:
Manage project resources, and timelines to ensure delivery within scope and constraints.Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
15+ years of experience in hardware development, software/application design, Quality Assurance, and systems integration.
Proven track record of leading successful technology programs from concept to deployment.
Strong knowledge of IoT protocols, wireless communication technologies, and embedded systems.
Demonstrated experience in Agile methodologies and program management.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience at the Director or VP level
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in IoT and application development.
Experience with AI/ML applications in technology programs.
Experience with low-code platforms (e.g., OutSystems, Mendix, Power Apps).
Experience with PCB design and prototyping.
Experience managing production schedules with contract manufacturers.
Background in leading synergistic cross-functional teams in a global or multi-site environment.
