ARISE Analytics is seeking a highly skilled and motivated AI/ML Research Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative AI and machine learning (ML) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI/ML, software development, and research, with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.

What You Will Be Doing
As an Analytics / AI Research Engineer, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML algorithms and models to solve complex data analytics problems with time series data
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers to identify opportunities for AI/ML applications and develop proof-of-concepts
• Maintain AI/ML systems, including data pipelines, model training, optimization, and deployment
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML, including new algorithms, techniques, and tools
• Participate in the development of research proposals, papers, and presentations
• Collaborate with external partners, including academia and industry, to advance AI/ML research and applications

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML research and development, with a strong background in machine learning and deep learning
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C++
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
• Excellent software development skills, with experience in version control systems such as Git
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Must be a US citizen - this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
Desired skills
• Familiarity with Graph Neural Networks (GNNs)
• History of projects utilizing time series data
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
• Strong publication record in top-tier AI/ML conferences and journals
• Experience with AI/ML ethics, fairness, and transparency

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
