Description

RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking a Video Editor (Live-Action Production Lead) to join for an approximate 12-month project starting in January 2026.

 

Candidates must be local to Seattle and able to be on-site a few times a month.

 

 

 

We’re looking for a Video Editor with strong live-action and motion design experience to join our in-house production team. This role will help bring products and stories to life through high-quality live-action and product explanation videos. The ideal candidate is both creative and technical, comfortable behind the camera, confident leading on set, and skilled in post-production editing and working with 2D/3D motion work.


You’ll collaborate closely with creative directors, producers, and designers to concept, shoot, and deliver visually compelling content for web and mobile platforms.
 

An online portfolio of work is required for all applicants.

 

As a Video Editing (Live-Action Production Lead), You Will:

•    Assist in studio on filming to manage media, cameras, lighting and on-set needs. 
•    Lead Camera on all live-action shoots helping creative director elevate and create sets that match brand guidelines.
•    Maintain Live-Action Studio systems including cameras, lighting, sound and be ready to lead on set for all incoming projects.
•    Help guide live-action edits to meet brand needs and timelines. 
•    Create content across the various web or mobile platforms.
•    Navigate ambiguity to drive the design cycle and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
•    Maintain high visual standards, and a strong attention to detail, client, audience, story, and context.
•    Collaborate to conceptualize daily, series, and franchise visual storytelling in video, broadcast, social and other contexts.
•    Bring narratives to life through technical motion design projects.
•    Work closely with the Design Manager to ensure assets meets technical and aesthetic standards as well as align to business goals.
•    Makes decisions that are scalable and contribute to long-term success, and takes the lead in solving problems.
•    Ownership of their work.

As an Applicant, You Bring:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in video production, live-action, and motion design, editing.
  • Expertise in camera operation, studio lighting, and sound management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other industry-standard post-production tools.
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D motion workflows such as Cinema 4D.
  • Strong understanding of brand storytelling and visual composition.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with creative and production teams.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced production studio environment.

Compensation

 

 

Pay Range: 60 - $65 (Hourly)    

 

The successful candidate’s pay will be based on various factors such as individual qualifications and work location.
