Job Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to leading the drive to bring SMART technology solutions to our new and existing clients, the Branch Manager is responsible for selecting, training, coaching, and developing team members within the Service Center to achieve client satisfaction and budgeted goals in the areas of growth (sales), profitability, service, quality assurance, collections, and safety. This position is also responsible for developing an ongoing partnership with Commercial Service Advisors assigned to their Service Center.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Be knowledgeable of technical data regarding pest management equipment, products, and functionality/use, as well as pest identification, biology, habits, and management procedures/techniques.
Maintain and ensure branch compliance with all Federal, State, and Local pesticide and safety regulations.
Understand the geographical area covered by the corresponding branch, including cities, towns, and localities serviced.
Maintain knowledge of Modern’s service and warranty programs, as well as pricing structure.
Set an example for all others within the Service Center in quality, safety, client satisfaction and productivity.
Enforce all company policies, guidelines, and operating procedures including those pertaining to dress code, vehicle and equipment care and maintenance.
Operate and maintain assigned vehicle in accordance with all Motor Vehicle laws, Company policies, and manufacturer's recommendations.
Recruit, select, train, coach, motivate and develop the best Service Professionals and Service Managers in the industry.
Conduct quality Team Member appraisals/reviews as necessary and provide growth and development opportunities when available.
Create and maintain performance improvement plans in accordance with company policy and conduct termination proceedings when performance goals are not met.
Possess the knowledge needed to perform all positions within the Service Center, including Service Professionals and Service Managers, and be willing to assume these responsibilities as needed/required to support planned and unplanned absences, vacations, and other ongoing business needs.
Investigate all client complaints reported or directed to General Manager, promptly resolving all complaints to client’s satisfaction.
Set an example for all others on the Service Team including technical knowledge of duties, functions, terminology, work procedures, regulations, company policies and others.
Achieve or exceed all budgeted goals for growth, sales, and profitability.
Maintain acceptable inventory levels and place chemical, product, and/or equipment orders as needed to support current and anticipated operations.
Compensation and Commission Structure:
In addition to their annual salary, all Branch Managers are eligible for an annual bonus of up to 20% of their annual salary; this bonus is based on branch performance, and bonuses may be subject to proration based on start date. These bonuses are generally paid in March following formal approval of the annual financial statements; Anticimex/Modern reserves the right to cancel or amend bonus payments at any time.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver’s license.
Required/Preferred Skills
Pest control experience preferred.
Must have or be able to meet requirements and obtain appropriate management level state pesticide applicator's license(s).
Have or be able to learn practical and technical knowledge of duties, functions, service, and product offerings, terminology, work procedures, and company policies.
Be able to work in a team-based environment.
Have strong oral and written communication skills.
Proof of vaccination may be required.
Physical Requirements
Requires constant (67% - 100% of the time) standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, and stretching.
Requires constant ability to move freely about the client site. Requires ability to travel long distances from client site to client site. Requires constant ability to enter and exit incumbent's vehicle.
Must be able and willing to work early hours, as needed. Must possess ability and stamina to work long hours while performing physical labor.
Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires ability to constantly operate industry equipment.
Requires frequent (34% - 66% of the time) lifting of equipment (up to 50lbs).
Requires good hand eye coordination, gross motor coordination, and finger dexterity. Must possess ability to climb heights. Must possess ability to work in cold and heat and to work in tight areas with elevated temperatures (boiler rooms, crawl spaces, OSHA confined spaces, etc.).
