Salary is commensurate with verified experience.Opening: 10/23/25Closing: 11/30/25Developed by a coalition of San Diego civic leaders and educators, High Tech High opened in September 2000 as a small public charter school with plans to serve approximately 450 students. HTH has evolved into an integrated network of sixteen charter schools serving approximately 6,350 students in grades K-12 across four campuses. Located in San Diego County, California, High Tech High (HTH) is guided by four connected design principles—equity, personalization, authentic work, and collaborative design—that set aspirational goals and create a foundation for understanding our approach. JOB SUMMARY High Tech High in Point Loma seeks a Community Outreach Coordinator who will assist with supporting family engagement, community building, and family voice efforts. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both English and Spanish, are preferred. Family Liaison: • Family liaison - support with understanding academic and other school programs, and developing a sense of belongingness with our families • May include regular translation of written communication from the school • Interpretation during family and school meetings Community Building: • Provide multiple avenues for family engagement, not limited to: • Communicating regularly with families via phone, newsletter, email, and in person • Co-planning and facilitating family engagement meetings that build family understanding of the work we do in our schools • Exploring and executing ways in increase family participation in meetings • May include weekend community and family outreach eventsFamily Voice: • Provide multiple avenues for family participation in LCAP and Title I resource decision-making, not limited to: • May include supporting and translating for Local Control Accountability Planning Meetings • Providing alternate avenues for family input • Administering and marketing annual family YouthTruth survey (with a goal of increasing participation year over year) Other duties: • Increasing awareness for families around HTHs admission process • Supporting enrollment and chronic absenteeism • Perform related duties as assigned Education and/or Experience: • High school diploma or GED (required) • Office management experience (preferred) • Experience in a school/learning environment (preferred)SALARY & BENEFITSThis is a part-time hourly position, and does not qualify for benefits.
