The Institute of Family and Community Impact“TM” is a learning organization that provides growth to families and drives change in our communities.  The Institute develops and advances clinical innovation and practices that produce better outcomes and greater value to our clients and stakeholders.  The Institute supports the delivery of evidence-informed and evidence-based practices, ensuring that science is translated to practice and equipping practitioners to help their clients achieve their goals more quickly.  The Institute advocates for policy and culture changes that support and sustain strong relationships and families, and healthy and vibrant communities.

The Institute is looking to host several upperclassmen and graduate school students as Institute Scholar Assistants (SAs).  SAs are students who are passionate about using science, technology, policy, evaluation, business analytics, healthcare and research to enhance lives and build connections across a variety of communities and reduce disparities.  Institute SAs looking to fulfill requirements for an internship placement, service learning hours, shadowing, or other experiential requirements will have the opportunity to fulfill up to 320 hours per semester (approximately 16 weeks; should be able to commit a minimum of 5 hours a week).  SAs will work with Institute leadership to identify project or priority based assignments within one or more of the five Institute Centers.  SAs will generally work out of an office based in Berea, OH,- or remotely depending up on projects and priorities assigned.  Institute Scholar Assistants will gain invaluable knowledge, experiences, and opportunities to prepare them for real-world applications following graduation.
