The Fort Worth Senior Counselor, under general supervision, supports the overall wellness of the campus community through direct clinical services, administrative coordination, and outreach leadership at the Fort Worth campus. This role balances individual and group counseling responsibilities with added administrative and outreach efforts aimed at expanding Counseling Services’ presence and impact at the Fort Worth location. The individual in this role serves as a key contact at the Fort Worth campus and collaborates regularly with the Director of Counseling Services.
Work hours: Monday–Thursday, 9 AM–6 PM; Friday 8–5 PM or as work requirements indicate. Occasional alternative hours/weekends required. This position is primarily located on the Fort Worth Campus. Occasional travel to the Stephenville campus and offsite locations for university events is required.
Responsibilities:
65% Direct Clinical Services:
Renders individual and group counseling to students experiencing developmental, psychological, and interpersonal concerns. Group offerings may include process-oriented, psychoeducational, and drop-in formats. Provides crisis counseling, serves as a resource to the university community in matters of crisis intervention. Participates in on-call crisis rotation.20% Outreach, Coordination, and Program Leadership:
Serves as the senior position for the Fort Worth location, providing consultation and guidance to Fort Worth SCS staff in managing day to day operations, crisis intervention, clinical scheduling, and outreach requests. May supervise staff or interns depending on departmental needs. Coordinates outreach activities for the Fort Worth campus in collaboration with campus departments and community resources. Supports marketing, website updates, and event planning to promote Counseling Services. Prepares internal and external documentation and reports.10% Case Management & Consultation:
Maintains timely and thorough documentation in accordance with licensure standards and departmental policies. Coordinates care with campus partners and external providers. Participates in regular clinical consultations and staff meetings.5% Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One year of experience in a college counseling center or related mental health setting.
Experience working in or with a complex organization with an understanding of larger institutional goals and objectives.
Must hold a current Clinical Supervisor designation or be eligible and willing to begin the Clinical Supervisor designation process upon hire.
Licensure:
Fully licensed in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in standard office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Strong written communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to relevant state laws and ethical standards.
Effective collaboration and multitasking skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Comfort with presenting to groups and engaging with multifaceted student populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with outreach programming and student engagement.
Previous work in a university counseling center.
Familiarity with Titanium Schedule or similar EHR systems.
Experience with CBT, DBT, and / or solution-focused, brief therapy models.

Salary: Commensurate with experience
Salary Range:
The target base annual salary range is $53,745 to $65,000 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
