Responsibilities


We are seeking a qualified Traveling Superintendent to join our growing team. Below is a listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

 

  • Serve as the main onsite point of contact for all project stakeholders.
  • Travel to project sites as required to oversee construction activities.
  • Support the Project Manager in reviewing and updating progress reports, cost tracking, schedules, and project requirements.
  • Monitor and enforce all onsite safety protocols, jobsite cleanliness, and respectful workplace standards.
  • Identify potential issues or conflicts and communicate them promptly to the Project Manager. Assist in resolving challenges related to schedule, budget, or field conditions.
  • Participate in weekly project meetings to report on progress, safety, and budget status.
  • Conduct regular site walks and inspections to ensure all work meets architectural plans, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Maintain onsite presence during all construction activities, including weekends as needed.
  • Oversee project completion from site work through final occupancy and punch-list closeout.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.


Skill Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience working with project management and field reporting software (e.g., FinishLine).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and motivate field teams.


Work Environment

  • Travel is required up to 90% of the time to project sites. 
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Required to be onsite during all active construction activities, including weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
