Ready to suit up as a University Campus Security Guard

As a University Campus Security Guard, physical ability is essential as you will be moving around your entire shift, patrolling at the campus.

Responsibilities for University Campus Security Guard

• Patrol critical areas to deter and detect suspicious activity.
• Control access by checking identification and monitoring secure areas.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports using the G-Track device.
• Respond promptly to emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or security breaches.
• React quickly to threats or incidents and document all actions taken.
• Monitor and ensure proper functioning of security systems, including alarms and cameras.
• Handle alarms and perform on-site checks as needed.
• Manage crowds to ensure safety and order when required.
• Partner with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Perform access control duties, ensuring authorized entry/exit.
• Operate site vehicles responsibly (valid driver’s license required).
• Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications for University Campus Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification as asset
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift 
• Full class 5 advanced drivers license
• Provide a clean drivers abstract
• Ability to use technology based systems
