River Market Community Co-op is hiring a Part Time Wellness Clerk!

Experience-based pay ranging from: $18.40 - $19.65 per hour

Approximately 12-18 hours per week.

Availability to work evenings and weekends on a regular basis is required. Candidates without availability to work on Sundays will not be considered.

Wellness Clerks interact directly with customers, acting as guides to help answer questions and locate products. In this position you will maintain attractive and fully stocked shelves, receive deliveries, ensure high standards of product quality and safety, and keep the store clean and organized. The most qualified candidates for this position will have experience working in a retail environment with the following product categories:

Union position

Reports to: Wellness Specialist

• Maintain attractive, fully stocked, rotated, and faced sections
• Help customers with products
• Answer customer questions accurately, politely, and enthusiastically
• Educate yourself on products in the department
• Assist in ordering and receiving as directed by supervisor

Requirements

• Health or wellness retail experience necessary
• Prior experience serving customers
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to perform basic arithmetic including counting, addition, and subtraction
• Able to repetitively lift and carry 25 lbs, and occasionally 50 lbs
• Repetitive use of hands for grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation
• Able to remain on feet for long periods of time
• Availability to work including weekends and evenings

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS: Must be physically able to occasionally grasp, grip, pull, push, twist, and turn as needed.

Constant (67-100%): Walking, standing, lifting/carrying up to 25 pounds floor to waist, talking, hearing, correctable vision including near acuity and depth perception

Frequent (34-66%): Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, lifting/reaching waist to shoulder, lifting/reaching above the shoulder

Occasional (1-33%): Working in refrigeration, pushing, pulling, lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds floor to waist, lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance floor to waist
