Reese Roofing & Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Project Estimator to join our growing team in the Tampa Bay area.

This role is responsible for analyzing project plans, preparing detailed cost estimates, and supporting the bidding process for commercial roofing and exterior construction projects.

The ideal candidate has experience estimating commercial roofing systems, exterior construction, or general contracting projects and is comfortable working with plans, specifications, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate estimates
• Perform detailed takeoffs for commercial roofing and exterior projects
• Prepare cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive bids
• Develop proposals and bid packages for commercial projects
• Work closely with ownership and project managers during the pre-construction phase
• Track project costs and assist with budgeting and cost control
• Maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and general contractors

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating
• Experience with commercial roofing or exterior construction preferred
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Experience performing material takeoffs and preparing detailed estimates
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with estimating software or spreadsheets

Preferred Experience

• Commercial roofing systems (TPO, modified bitumen, metal, flat roofing systems)
• Experience working with general contractors or commercial developers
• Familiarity with construction bidding processes
• Experience with estimating tools such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar software
