We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Locum Primary Care Physician/General Practitioner to provide essential medical services within a correctional facility located approximately one hour outside of San Antonio, Texas. This part-time position requires a commitment of 16 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive primary care to adult patients within a correctional setting.
- Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat common medical conditions, and manage chronic diseases.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Current and unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Clean DEA registration.
- Ability to work effectively in a correctional environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
