Position Summary
Energizers' Specialty Battery R&D team is seeking a candidate to support product design improvements by executing routine and non-routine experiments and tasks that have the most impact on product development or in defining the causes and solutions of technical problems within research and development.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute routine and non-routine experiments and tasks
Create reports that summarize data and analyzes for exceptions
Perform manual operations, including the use of laboratory equipment and the handling of chemicals
Use appropriate materials and equipment and understand their principles of use or operation
Practice proper safety procedures and report unsafe acts or conditions
Develop expertise in the processes and tests utilized in the laboratory
Complete bench work and testing assigned while accurately recording and documenting results, observations, and deviations
Perform routine and non-routine calculations; create routine and non-routine tables, charts, and graphs
Assist with trials utilizing laboratory software to schedule and coordinate testing in test lab and build characterization and analysis
Practice good lab housekeeping and audit duties
Understand basic principles of energy systems and/or devices in assigned area
May also perform additional duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Minimum 1 year of general science or engineering college coursework or equivalent experience/education
A good fundamental understanding of higher level mathematics, mechanics, general science, and general computer applications including Microsoft office products
Exposure to health risks or conditions which may require the use of (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment (including Safety Glasses, Gloves, Lab Coat and may be required to use a respirator)
What we prefer (not required)
Associate Degree or higher in Physical Sciences (example: Chemistry, Physics) or Engineering
Minimum 2 years of demonstrated related experience in a technical laboratory, industrial manufacturing, or similar environment

Total Rewards Package
The salary range for this position is USD $47,000.00/Yr. - USD $54,100.00/Yr.
