Position Summary:

The HR Generalist will serve as a key partner to assigned functions and colleagues, providing comprehensive human resources support across the areas of talent development, performance management, recruiting, compensation, engagement, and employee relations.  Based out of Energizer’s St. Louis headquarters, this role will collaborate closely with business leaders and colleagues to foster a positive and productive work environment, ensure alignment with Energizer culture and HR best practices, and support initiatives that drive engagement and organizational effectiveness. The HR Generalist will also play a critical role in executing core HR processes, supporting change management efforts, and contributing to continuous improvement across the HR function.  

Responsibilities:

 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to people leaders, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives and organizational needs 
  • Leverage data and analytics to identify insights and trends to inform strategic decisions around talent and operations. 

  • Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace culture 

  • Effectively work with line management in planning for and meeting business goals and objectives. Demonstrate ability to understand how the business/client groups operate at a fundamental level 

  • Support the business with recruitment, colleague development, and retention. May assist in building organizational capability and bench strength, ensuring the right colleagues are in the right jobs. This may include participating in talent reviews, succession planning reviews, and performance calibrations.  

  • Serve as a change agent and consultant to client groups in support of the Company’s vision, mission, culture and strategy. Support client groups to ensure efficient and effective organizational change management.  

  • Ensure legal compliance and mitigate the Company’s risk through having a basic understanding of most relevant employment laws and follow agreed processes. May track/monitor necessary information related to AA/EEO/ etc. 

  • Assist leaders with HR administrative and HRIS needs, including reporting, position management, colleague transactions/workflows, leaves of absence, and job requisitions 

  • Provide onsite support to the colleagues at Energizer’s St. Louis headquarters office, partnering with other functional HRBPs to ensure leader and colleague needs are met 

  • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation sessions for new colleagues 

  • Serve as a colleague advocate and provide appropriate guidance in matters of policy and process 

  • Partner with the St. Louis Culture Champions on initiatives and events that create a sense of belonging and engage colleagues 

  • Collaborate across the HR function and proactively share initiatives, insights, challenges, and best practices.   

  • Contribute as a team member on various HR projects and key initiatives 

  • Act as a point-of-contact to the Real Estate team for matters related to office operations that impact colleagues 

  • Coordinate logistics for onsite interviews in partnership with the Talent Acquisition COE 

  • May perform other duties as assigned 

What we are looking for:
 
  • 1-3 years of functional Human Resources and business partnership experience 

  • 2+ years of knowledge of federal, state and local laws as they pertain to HR practices. 

  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills 

  • Ability to influence for a desired outcome/result 

  • Ability to respectfully challenge 

  • Effective at balancing being a strategic partner, change agent, administrative expert, & employee champion   

  • Strong business acumen 

  • Previous experience coaching line managers 

  • Ability to work independently 

  • Fluent English 

  • BS or BA In Human Resources, Business or related field preferred 

  • Human Resource Certification preferred 

  • Prior experience with SAP Success Factors preferred

Total Rewards Package:The salary range for this position is USD $66,000.00/Yr. - USD $125,000.00/Yr.


Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
