Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer) to join our overnight imaging team. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate results. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during night shifts in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine and specialized diagnostic radiographic procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Ensure proper patient identification, positioning, and immobilization for accurate imaging results.
• Operate and maintain radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment according to safety and quality standards.
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Assist physicians and other healthcare providers during imaging-guided procedures as needed.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy before submission to radiologists for interpretation.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records within the hospital’s imaging system.
• Provide compassionate patient care and ensure privacy and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other members of the care team.

Required Skills & Experience
• Minimum 1 year of general radiography experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic techniques, equipment operation, and radiation protection standards.
• Ability to work efficiently during overnight hours and respond to emergency imaging requests.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Required Education: Completion of an accredited training program for Radiologic Technologists (including military training programs).

Required Certifications & Licensure
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and current registration.
• Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist license.

Preferred Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA).
