Position:  Maintenance Technician – Boiler Operator
Type: Maintenance Department; Full-time, 40 hours/week; 12-month position as defined in Classified Labor Agreement.  Supervised by: Maintenance Director

Duties

• Performs general maintenance work with a specialization in heating.
• May perform all types of maintenance to complete projects and ensure continued functionality of the District’s buildings, structures, and grounds.

• High school graduate or GED (copy of diploma/certificate must be submitted with application OR evidence of current enrollment in GED program; incomplete applications will not be considered).
• Two (2) years’ experience/education in building maintenance/construction operations, including a minimum of one (1) year as a groundskeeper.
• Valid Montana driver’s license.
• Good work habits and physical ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

• Hourly rate per Classified scale, DOE.
• Lane 4: $22.80/hour ($23.42/hour after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period).
• Lane 5 placement requires current license.

• Health, dental/vision, retirement, sick and annual leave.
