We are seeking a proactive and process-driven Customer Account Coordinator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless production operations by coordinating across departments and maintaining efficient workflows. The ideal candidate excels in communication, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates precision in entering customer orders into ERP systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive communication and service.
- Update and manage customer account records with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Receives and creates customer orders by gathering, analyzing, and inputting data into Visual ERP via customer purchase orders, bill of materials, and drawings.
- Analyze customer specifications and drawings to determine raw material needs and appropriate production methods.
- Generate purchase requests for required components and materials.
- Create and distribute work orders for products and services to the production floor.
- Collaborate with Production Supervisors, team leaders, and the Shipping department to ensure timely fulfillment of customer requirements.
- Track and monitor order progress and shipping status to ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding order status, delivery timelines, and expedited requests.
- Coordinate with Quality and Production teams to resolve product or service issues, ensuring customer satisfaction through follow-up.
- Document customer interactions, including inquiries, complaints, and resolutions, maintaining accurate records.
- Support team goals by contributing to cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Ensure all production output meets established quality standards.
- Promote and enforce health and safety policies and procedures across all operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with production environments and related software tools. (ERP Systems & Microsoft Excel Preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Skilled in planning, prioritizing, and managing time effectively.
- High level of accuracy and commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated and proactive in identifying and resolving issues.
