Data Analyst - Retail Banking at Bank OZK

Serves as one of the key deposits data experts within the organization, and provides analytical support on deposit pricing, campaign and marketing initiatives, Retail Bank performance, and reporting requirements.

1. Analyzes product, pricing, financial, and marketing data to evaluate trends and synthesize information.

2. Creates and maintains interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources.

3. Interprets and provides recommendations for performance and profitability enhancements.

4. Conducts regular and ad-hoc analytics surrounding the Bank’s Retail Bank.

5. Conducts research on the Bank’s sales and operations data.

6. Analyzes various marketing and pricing tests to determine customer response to different initiatives and strategies. 

7. Develops regular reporting to monitor performance and effectiveness of tests and portfolios.

8. Partners with various teams across the Bank to coordinate report distribution and knowledge sharing across the organization, including to key stakeholders for executive meetings.

9. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.

10. Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

1. Knowledge of relational databases. 

2. Ability to analyze complex financial data and turn it into actionable analysis, insights, and strategic recommendations. 

3. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

4. Ability to demonstrate business acumen and attention to detail. 

5. Ability to create and own reports distributed to large groups throughout organization.

6. Ability to work with various cross-functional teams in a rapidly moving and changing work environment.

7. Ability to demonstrate initiative in managing work and accomplishing objectives.

8. Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills.

9. Skill in using computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, economics, computer science, statistics, or related field, or commensurate work experience, required. 

2. MBA or master’s degree in a quantitative field preferred.

3. Minimum one (1) year of experience with SQL and/or scripting languages (e.g., R, Python) in a professional or academic setting required.

4. Experience with Power BI and/or Snowflake preferred.
