As the organization continues to grow, HFCU is seeking a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to help shape the future of its people, culture, and overall organization.
The CHRO is a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, responsible for leading all aspects of human resources strategy, talent development, and organizational culture. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact at an established, member-focused financial institution that values service, collaboration, and integrity.
What You’ll Do
- Lead with purpose: Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to design and execute a people-first strategy that supports HFCU’s mission, growth, and operational goals.
- Build and empower teams: Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for the HR and Training & Development teams.
- Shape a thriving culture: Co-lead initiatives that strengthen engagement, inclusion, and organizational alignment with HFCU’s core values.
- Attract and retain top talent: Drive recruitment, selection, and retention programs that ensure HFCU continues to be an employer of choice.
- Reward and recognize: Oversee compensation, benefits, and recognition programs that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with performance outcomes.
- Champion performance and growth: Implement systems that encourage feedback, accountability, and professional development across all levels.
- Ensure compliance and excellence: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations, ensuring that HFCU remains compliant and forward-thinking.
- Drive innovation: Monitor workforce trends and implement technologies and programs that enhance the employee experience.
What You’ll Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
- Certification: SHRM or HRCI certification required.
- Experience: 10+ years leading HR functions, ideally within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
- Skills:
- Strategic leadership and relationship-building at the executive level.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategy with organizational objectives.
- Proven success in developing people, managing change, and leading high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
