Brown Advisory, a leader in investment management, is actively seeking a dedicated and dynamic Institutional Product Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who have garnered experience within the investment management industry, especially in areas related to Mutual Funds, Collective Investment Trusts, Exchange Traded Funds and/or Fund Administration.

The selected candidate will play a crucial role in bolstering our flourishing institutional business sector, as well as providing support to the suite of Brown Advisory Funds. As an Institutional Product Analyst, you will be expected to exhibit a high level of attention to detail in all tasks, whether they involve handling complex financial data or engaging with client inquiries. Your proactive approach to problem-solving will be essential in anticipating the needs of the business and offering timely solutions. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support operational aspects of pooled vehicles, including reviewing NAV calculations, financial reporting, and performance analysis

  • Assist in vendor oversight to ensure optimal performance

  • Help ensure regulatory compliance with applicable industry standards

  • Liaise with fund managers, custodians, auditors, and service providers on fund activities

  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of fund activities

  • Assist with preparing and distributing detailed fund reports to stakeholders

  • Contribute to the development and application of fund policies and procedures

  • Respond to investor inquiries and provide necessary information

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy

  • Monitor cash flow and oversee global cash activities across multiple vehicles

  • Support oversight of short-term trading activities

  • Track daily investor inflows and outflows

  • Assist with the launch of new sub-funds and other growth opportunities

  • Work collaboratively across Brown Advisory’s divisions to support business growth

  • Provide support to the sales team with product knowledge and query response

  • Develop and maintain a solid understanding of Brown Advisory product features and industry trends

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field

  • Approximately 2 years of experience in investment management or a related area preferred

  • Fundamental understanding of investment concepts (including equity and fixed income)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Self-motivated team player with a solutions-focused mindset

  • Eager to learn and interested in pursuing industry certifications

MD Salary Range: $75-$85k. Commensurate with experience and location. Does not include bonus or long term incentive eligibility (if applicable).
