Summary
The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources practices and processes. They will serve as the primary point of contact to support functional managers with various HR efforts, including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, employee relations, compliance and risk management, HR strategy and analytics, and HR technology and systems. The HR Manager will also lead companywide cross-functional initiatives and have the ability to influence without direct authority, driving alignment and results across diverse teams.
Essential Functions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on variety of HR topics, practices and processes.
- Provide support and guidance to on-site HR staff and managers when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- Comfortable administering and executing routine HR tasks such as leave of absence, investigations, and terminations.
- Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) within HRIS system to support hiring teams.
- Supports with compensation and benefit benchmarking; ensuring the company can attract and retain top talent.
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives to provide internal development opportunities for associates.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Guide onsite HR professionals through a dotted-line reporting structure.
- Conduct regular site visits and check-ins with managers to maintain visibility and engagement, providing both tactical and strategic support.
- Lead and support companywide HR projects and change management initiatives.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally (i.e. marketing, IT, sales, manufacturing, finance, payroll, engineering, etc.)
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion and professionalism.
- Strong knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the company’s HRIS system (ADP).
- Highly proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Forms, SharePoint, Copilot).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build trust and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Self-driven and thrives working autonomously.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a big plus!
Education, Certification, Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
- 6+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site manufacturing or operations environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP (or equivalent HR certification) strongly preferred.
Working Conditions

- Travels up to 35% of the time, to meet needs of business
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
