As a Service Solutions Technician III / Quality Assurance, you will play a critical role in upholding our commitment to quality installations and repairs across all GTA service platforms. As a Service Solutions Technician III / Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for conducting field audits and quality assessments to ensure that both in-house and contracted technicians meet GTA’s standards for installation and repair work. You’ll act as a technical expert, trainer, and problem-solver—providing recommendations to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and uphold customer satisfaction across all platforms including Copper, Fixed Wireless, and Fiber-to-the-Home.

  • Reviewing and auditing installation and repair work for compliance with GTA’s standard operating procedures.
  • Providing field training and coaching to technicians to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and performance standards.
  • Identifying areas for process improvement and recommending cost-saving and efficiency measures.
  • Creating QA reports, metrics, and documentation using systems such as Omnia, Oasis, Solomon, ArcGIS, and FS Bot.
  • Preparing and presenting findings and recommendations to management.
  • Conducting safety inspections and ensuring compliance with all HS&E standards.
  • Partnering with management to recognize team successes and address opportunities for growth.
  • Auditing third-party vendors and contractors to ensure GTA’s quality expectations are met.

 

Candidates must show: 

  • Ability to promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners
  • Technical skills – Working knowledge of computer systems/software and computerized billing
  • Oral presentation skills – Comfortable with delivering briefings and reports to colleagues, conduct training sessions, and any other tasks related to speaking in front of an audience
  • Strong organization skills with an ability to prioritize and plan work activities, uses time efficiently, organizes or schedules other people and their tasks, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment; must be detail-oriented and accurate in work
  • Attendance/Punctuality – Consistently at work and on time for scheduled shift and department or customer scheduled meetings; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent.
  • Decision-making – Makes sound, well-informed, fact-based decisions and seeks guidance when needed.

 

Here’s what you need to have:

  • Minimum HS Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Four (4) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications systems; or enrollment in GTA’s apprenticeship program.
  • Knowledge of basic electricity and telecommunications systems (POTS, Internet, Wireless, Fiber-to-the-Home, DTV, VOIP).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, cable records, circuit diagrams, and specifications.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with GTA systems: Omnia, Oasis, Solomon, ArcGIS, FS Bot.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain necessary work passes (military, airport, etc.).
  • Ability to perform physical work, including standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in varying outdoor and indoor conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to work effectively with employees, management, and the public.
  • Leadership and team-building skills with a focus on mentoring, recognizing growth opportunities, and celebrating team wins.
  • Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and variable schedules, as needed to meet business goals.
  • Ability to identify differences in wire and color codes
