THE POSITION

We are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented General Ledger Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records, supporting tax compliance, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in the firearm industry and must not hold negative political views toward this space.


JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performing technical accounting tasks including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Conducting audits and account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Entering financial data such as accruals, deferrals, reclassifications, and intercompany entries
• Preparing internal financial reports and supporting documentation
• Collaborating with internal departments to gather and interpret financial information
• Supporting compliance and reporting for Sales & Use Tax (SUT) and Property Tax
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparation of financial statements
• Supporting internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
• Ensuring adherence to GAAP and company accounting policies


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in general ledger accounting or similar role
• Familiarity with Epicor ERP system is a plus
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and emotional intelligence
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Professional presence and a proactive mindset
• High attention to detail and accountability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Comfort with learning new software systems
• Discretion in handling confidential information
• Ability to work with large data sets and perform complex analysis
