Location:  Ashburn, VA

Your role

Digital Realty is seeking a Program Leader for Master Data Management (MDM) to spearhead the design, delivery, and adoption of enterprise master data capabilities. This leader will contribute to the definition and implementation of end-to-end MDM strategy and execution, working across business domains to identify critical master data needs, define the roadmap, and ensure scalable implementation of processes, tools, and governance structures.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in enterprise data management and program leadership, with proven experience delivering MDM capabilities at scale. They will align stakeholders, establish best practices, and drive measurable outcomes in data quality, consistency, and trustworthiness—laying the foundation for AI, analytics, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

What you’ll do

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to help, define and lead enterprise MDM program standup, including strategy, roadmap, and phased delivery roadmap.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to identify master data domains (e.g., customer, contracts, inventory) and prioritize implementation.
  • Lead the definition and maintenance of canonical data models that normalize and standardize data across systems.
  • Drive the adoption, configuration, and implementation of the Profisee Master Data Management toolset, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Establish and operationalize data stewardship roles and processes, embedding accountability within business domains.
  • Develop policies, standards, and workflows for data quality monitoring, issue management, and remediation.
  • Manage program governance, budgets, and vendor relationships, ensuring initiatives deliver business value.
  • Collaborate with enterprise data governance, architecture, and analytics teams to ensure MDM integrates seamlessly into the broader data ecosystem.
  • Provide thought leadership on MDM practices, tools, and trends, advising stakeholders on best-in-class approaches.

What you’ll need

  • 12+ years in enterprise data management, with at least 5 years leading MDM programs or large-scale data initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience with Profisee or other enterprise MDM platforms.
  • Deep expertise in canonical data model definition and management across multiple domains.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and their application to master data.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional programs in complex, global organizations.
  • Strong vendor and partner management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with the capability to influence at executive and operational levels.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with data architecture and integration patterns (APIs, data hubs, cloud-native approaches).
  • Program management certification (PMP, PgMP, or equivalent).
  • Strong technical grounding in data models, data quality tooling, and BI/analytics platforms.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
