Technician, CCTV at Ironsite

Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Technician with hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video surveillance systems—particularly with brands such as Axis Communications, March Networks, and other leading IP-based camera systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high levels of system performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain CCTV and video surveillance systems (IP and analog).

• Work specifically with Axis, March Networks, and similar CCTV platforms.

• Perform system upgrades, firmware updates, and software patches.

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network-related issues.

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of systems.

• Maintain detailed documentation of installations, configurations, and repairs.

• Collaborate with IT and Security teams to integrate CCTV systems with broader security infrastructure.

• Train end-users on system operation and basic troubleshooting.

• Ensure all work is compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.

• Respond to emergency service requests and after-hours issues as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in CCTV system installation and maintenance.

• Proven experience with Axis Communications, March Networks, and other similar systems.

• Strong understanding of IP networking (TCP/IP, PoE, switches, routers).

• Familiarity with VMS (Video Management Software) platforms.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screening.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications from Axis (e.g., Axis Certified Professional) or March Networks.

• Experience with other systems such as NVR'S, POE, etc.

• Knowledge of access control, alarm systems, or broader physical security solutions.

• OSHA 10/30 certification.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces.

• Capable of working in various environments (indoor/outdoor, heat/cold).
