About the Role

This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday to Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

As Associate Procurement Analyst,  you will support Kohl's sourcing functions, including vendor selection, cost negotiation, project execution and store support. You will collaborate closely with other Kohl's divisions and external vendors to execute initiatives, manage the bidding process, develop programs to support new initiatives and manage assigned Corporate, Store and Distribution programs. 

What You’ll Do

  • Own the project lifecycle for assigned projects, including specification, sourcing, implementation and maintenance

  • Develop and execute RFQs/RFIs/RFPs for assigned category elements

  • Maintain goals, timelines and strategic sourcing strategies for assigned spending categories

  • Execute projects per the guidelines of established sourcing strategies to support all planned projects

  • Follow the sourcing process to support company cost-reduction initiatives

  • Provide applicable reporting and analysis to procurement management and stakeholders

  • Establish the best method of pricing based on the ability to track expenses and improve costs

  • Develop and follow procedures for sourcing and evaluating vendors, products and services

  • Ensure and resolve QA/QC compliance issues

  • Use Kohl's Financial and Risk Mitigation processes to evaluate and manage suppliers

  • Prepare analyses and reports as required when evaluating vendors and programs

  • Resolve issues on product and service level of quality and delivery requirements

  • Support systems and projects to achieve unit goals per Kohl’s policies and practices

  • Provide leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise, driving results.

  • Foster an effective work environment by developing a common vision, setting clear objectives, expecting teamwork, recognizing outstanding performance and maintaining open communications

  • Develop staff through coaching, providing performance feedback, providing effective performance assessments and establishing performance and development plans

What Skills You Have

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of procurement experience

  • Project lead or supervisory experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally

  • Project management experience

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience with a procurement system (Oracle, ERP or equivalent)

Preferred

  • Background in a retail procurement environment

  • Vendor management experience

  • Experience in budget preparation and management

Special Requirements

  • Some Domestic and/or International travel
