What you’ll contribute to
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven Product Specialist to join our Product Planning & Development division in a Max Term role for 2 years.
The Product Planning & Development (PPD) Division oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of all product activities to ensure new products are optimized to meet the evolving needs of customers.
The Product Specialist (Commercial Vehicles) is primarily responsible for assisting in the development of commercial vehicle model line-ups for Toyota, with the goal of delivering highly desirable products that maximize TMCA and dealer profitability while meeting sales and customer satisfaction targets.
This role is based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer. This role will require occasional travel, both overseas and interstate, approximately 4-5 times per year.
How you’ll make an impact
Execute the established commercial and accessories product planning processes and procedures in line with set policies to achieve customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability goals.
Support the development of product planning processes and procedures for commercial vehicles and accessories to enhance product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability.
Contribute to the development of model line-ups and grade specifications for commercial vehicles, utilizing market and product research data to enhance product desirability, customer satisfaction, sales, and profitability. Document findings and proposals in reports for stakeholder communication.
Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of all projects, highlighting progress and any issues. Suggest actions to address and resolve these issues.
Prepare vehicle information, review the clarity, and validate the accuracy of technical content on spec sheets and visual checks of vehicles, including product planning and marketing materials to ensure that all stakeholders have access to accurate product information.
Manage reporting systems to ensure the business receives accurate and timely information that supports planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Degree in engineering, marketing, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Over 2 years of combined marketing or product planning experience (preferably in the automotive industry)
Knowledge of automotive systems and technical terminology
Familiarity with the sales and marketing process
Experience in market research and financial analysis for cost planning
