About the role:
Reporting to the Vendor and Strategic Initiatives Manager, this role focuses on analysing and supporting the onboarding and offboarding of vendors for the Contact Centres. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage service provider support and related initiatives.
As the Vendor Specialist will partner with the Customer Service team to enforce strong contractual governance, ensuring vendors meet their KPIs/SLAs. Additionally, you will work with Procurement and Legal on the RFP process, assist with legal and commercial negotiations, and ensure successful outcomes.
You will also collaborate with process transformation and improvement teams, particularly in Telco Operations, to manage the rollout, communication, and change management of various initiatives.
What you’ll be doing:
Engage with vendors and stakeholders to establish strong contractual governance and hold vendors accountable for their performance, ensuring they meet their obligations and KPIs/SLAs.
Lead the end-to-end RFP process, including analysing BAFOs, developing business cases, and assisting with contract negotiations to drive key business decisions.
Contribute to market-leading initiatives by researching best practices, evaluating impacts, and integrating opportunities into vendor contracts to enhance long-term business value.
Onboard and offboard vendors while coordinating with Procurement, Legal, and business teams, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with AGL standards.
Collaborate with Process Improvement Teams to implement and manage change initiatives within the Contact Centres, driving impactful improvements across the business.
About you:
Vendor management experience, within the telecommunications or energy sector, along with strong coordination skills to ensure timely execution of actions with both internal and external stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems and propose solutions.
Strong negotiation skills are needed, along with the ability to effectively communicate.
Ability to plan strategically and operationally, with the capacity to collate and present meaningful reports that cater to both strategic management and operational needs.
Strong organisational skills are essential to manage multiple initiatives.
