Be part of a team that keeps our construction projects running smoothly and our contractor payments accurate. As a Construction Recordkeeper, you’ll help manage monthly estimates, reporting tools, and documentation that keep projects on track. We’re looking for a team player with sharp attention to detail. Bonus points if you have construction experience, know your way around SiteManager, or have handled recordkeeping before. This is your chance to combine precision with teamwork — and play a key role in building the future of Fort Bend’s roadways.

Construction Recordkeeper I
Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement; monitors records to verify compliance with state and federal laws and determines payments due contractor for work completed. Work requires contact with contractors. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.
Construction Recordkeeper II
Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork; reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement; monitors records to verify compliance with state and federal laws and determines payments due contractor for work completed. Work requires contact with contractors. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Construction Recordkeeper I
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: No experience required. (Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year-by-year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
Construction Recordkeeper II
Education: High School Grad or Equivalent in general education.
Experience: 1 year in Recordkeeping, bookkeeping, or other related experience. (Experience can be satisfied by full-time or prorated part-time equivalent). Related college education or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on a year-by-year basis. Substitutions for Minimum Qualifications
Licenses and Certifications: Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
