Job Description

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Control Specialist in Kansas City, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment at a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry and exit points, performing routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. You will also provide outstanding customer service, communicating clearly with staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Control and monitor access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Assist with maintaining security-related procedures according to location-specific policies and guidelines.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting staff, visitors, and/or contractors with access-related needs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help minimize disruptions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious behavior, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate parties.
• Support emergency response activities following Allied Universal procedures and location protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
