Why Rolls-Royce?
Reporting to the Director, SSLA, the SSLA Integration Manager is part of the SSLA first line who are responsible for Resilience and Security, Health, Safety and Environment, Radiation Protection, Nuclear Standards, Regulatory Liaison and Internal Regulation.
The role acts as an integration for the Director, SSLA to provide a single point of contact for the delivery of projects, management of risk and functional running of SSLA helping to create an integrated approach to risk, assurance, governance, projects and people.
Existing Site Integration Manager post has been vacant following previous occupant becoming Resilience Manager - time has been taken to review the accountabilities in the role in line with changes in SSLA and to then recruit into the post.
What you will be doing
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Working with the Heads of Department responsible for the integration and upkeep of a common safety assurance plan across all of the safety function within SSLA
- Working with the SSLA first line responsible for the functional integration of both Safety and Resilience and Security to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordination and input to delivery performance, responsible for monitoring deadlines and critical milestones for key deliverables for presenting to Director, SSLA and management of SSLA projects
- Responsible for the development and implementation of SSLA internal and external engagement and communications and coordination of SSLA change makers and apprentices.
- Working with the SSLA first line responsible for the coordination of SSLA Tier 2 and 3 risks including regular reviews and progress on mitigation updates along with support for SSLA Tier 1 risks working with relevant Head of Department
- Responsible for the coordination of all functional first line management meetings.
- Responsible for the co-ordination of SSLA lead governance and assurance meetings
- Working with HR, responsible for the coordination of the people and wellbeing plan ensuring regular progress updates
- Working with Central Business Management Team to ensure timely functional data on budgets, people, headcount, training and other relevant data.
- Director, SSLA's delegate owner of the SSLA Operating Model to ensure that updates are done in a timely fashion to reflect the current operations of the function.
- Support to all department s to track commitments to Infrastructure projects and identify milestones and utilisation of SSLA teams.
- Act as representative for SSLA at key meetings such as Operating Committee, Functional Capability Council.
Who we’re looking for
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Holds or is capable of achieving membership of an appropriate professional body (e.g. Association for Project Management).
- Working knowledge of nuclear site licensed conditions and Ministry of Defence security requirements (JSP440)
- Have a proven track record in nuclear safety, safety culture, improvement projects and assurance.
- Excellent communications skills both written and verbal.
- Proven track record in solving complex problems and influencing others.
