Walker Consultants is seeking an exceptional Structural Restoration Engineer to join our Atlanta office. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, dedicated, and self-motivated engineer who enjoys problem-solving and thrives in collaborative team environments.

In this role, you’ll investigate, analyze, and resolve structural deficiencies in existing buildings, parking structures, plazas, and other types of built structures. Many of the challenges you’ll face have no clear precedent, requiring both creative thinking and technical expertise. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of project managers, structural engineers, and architects to develop solutions that enhance the value and longevity of the built environment.

  • What You'll Do

    -Conduct field assessments, testing, and construction observations for a variety of structural systems (prestressed concrete, reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, timber).
    -Analyze field data and perform structural calculations or modeling for evaluation and repair design.
    -Prepare technical reports summarizing investigations, analyses, and recommendations.
    -Collaborate with project teams to develop design documents and specifications.
    -Support construction administration, including reviewing submittals and conducting site visits.

    What You'll Bring

    -Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in structural or civil engineering (ABET-accredited).
    -1–5 years of experience in structural design, evaluation, or restoration preferred.
    -Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
    -Experience or willingness to learn structural analysis/design software (SAP,  RISA, Enercalc, Adapt PT, ETABS) and AutoCAD/Revit.
