Senior Director

C4ADS is seeking a mission-driven Senior Director to lead and grow our analytical teams and advance our reputation as a pioneer in Publicly Available Information (PAI) and a convener driving systemic change against illicit networks.

This senior leadership role requires equal focus on growing program revenue, influence, and access, as on ensuring analytic innovation and product excellence. This includes shaping program strategy, developing people, delivering high-impact analytic products, and fostering partnerships and coalitions that turn insights into real-world outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and inspire multi-disciplinary analytical teams, coaching Program Directors and analysts to produce high-quality, mission-driven outputs and run effective outreach strategies to engage new and existing audiences.
• Drive growth for assigned Analytical Programs by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, supporting project strategy and proposal development, and leading in building strategic partnerships that generate sustainable funding streams.
• Represent C4ADS externally, engaging with partners, stakeholders, and clients to distribute insights, pitch projects, and advocate for impact, turning analysis into action by connecting those who have information with those who have authority to act.
• Oversee program strategy, product development, and project delivery, to ensure high-impact and well managed performance.  
• Ensure analytical excellence through the implementation of analytical best practices, systems for knowledge sharing, and the encouragement of innovation.
• Be accountable for program financial performance; monitor revenue, team performance, budgets, and deliverables to ensure program financial and mission impact goals are met.
• Serve as a member of the Executive leadership team, reporting directly to the Executive Director and determining the organizational business strategy, organizational polies and key business decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s degree is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience managing analytical or research teams.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience, including 5+ years managing managers
• Established relationships with government agencies, foundations, or private sector partners in the national security or transparency space.
• Bonus points for experience in Congressional and Government relations
• Strong track record of developing talent and driving strategy
• Exceptional communication, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to foster innovation, collaboration, and professional growth within teams.
• Knowledge of data management and analytical tradecraft.
• Understanding of data-driven investigations, PAI analysis, or global security issues.
• Experience leading complex, multi-team projects.
• Familiarity with coalition-building and external stakeholder engagement.
• Commitment to C4ADS’ mission of using data to combat illicit networks and strengthen transparency.
