Job Description
Schedule: Day/PM, Monday-Friday, No Call/Weekends/Holidays, Start Times: 05:30, 06:00, 07:00, 08:00, 10:00, 11:30
The Anesthesia Technician functions as a member of the operating room team whose primary responsibility is to provide support services for the Anesthesia department and operating room staff while the surgical schedule is in progress and after case completed. Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge related to anesthesia equipment and supplies. Coordinates repair of anesthesia equipment, cleaning of anesthesia equipment and helps to maintain equipment for appropriate working order. Functions within a fast pace environment in a cooperative harmonious manner. The Anesthesia Technician will provide additional support services to anesthesia with pharmacy supply maintenance.

Qualifications
- High school education
- BLS within 3 months of hire
- Good communication skills
Preferred
- College course work related to Health Care
- Previous experience (6 months to 1 year) as an Anesthesia Technician, Operating Room Aide, Pharmacy or SPD employee
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Aseptic technique skills
