Status: PRN - As Needed

Shift: working hours between 5:00 am – 5:00 pm

Weekly Hours: PRN - As Needed

Job Summary


The RN/LPN/Dialysis Tech provides direct nursing care for families, aggregates and community groups, as well as individual clients with complex interactions of nursing diagnoses. The RN/LPN/Dialysis Tech uses complex communication skills with clients and collaborates with other health team members. The RN manages comprehensive nursing care for clients from admission through discharge.

Requirements
  • Licensed or certified to practice as a Registered Nurse, LPN or Dialysis Tech in the State of South Dakota.
  • Following a formal orientation, proficiency in the assigned clinical area is expected within six months.
  • Failure to comply with standards of nursing care of HRMC may result in consequences to continued employment.
  • BLS is required
  • ACLS preferred but not required (for RN)


Working Conditions

  • Requires frequent walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, feeling, talking, hearing and moderate lifting (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly) of clients and equipment.
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions (protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change) and to atmospheric conditions (one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases or poor ventilation).
  • Risks exposure to communicable or infectious disease.
