We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Insights research team. This role focuses on consumer insights, corporate, and market research— helping brands define the optimal positioning,strengthen their reputation, guide public affairs initiatives, and craft compelling messages that resonate with key stakeholders. 
 
Qualified candidates must have experience conducting quantitative (surveys) and qualitative (focus groups, online discussion boards) research projects from beginning to end. Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, and enjoy driving projects forward every step of the way.

Responsibilities
  • Produce first draft analyses of research projects – both written analyses and visual PowerPoint presentations, with project lead guidance that require minimal revisions.
  • Begin to produce first drafts of survey questionnaires and qualitative research screeners and guides, with project lead guidance.
  • Research and draft new business proposals and presentations, with senior-level support.
  • Drive forward day-to-day project management of research projects and external clients in collaboration with colleagues. This includes keeping the team on schedule, tracking project tasks, developing agendas, and taking notes on internal and external calls.
  • Work with project teams to ensure our clients feel like they are our first and only priority by ensuring we respond to clients in a timely fashion, anticipate client needs, and continuously update clients on our activity and progress. 
  • Oversee sampling and fielding of studies to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Actively troubleshoot project fielding issues, identify and implement solutions and/or escalate to team.
  • Ensure high quality control of quantitative projects, i.e., monitor telephone polls for accuracy as they are executed and test survey links.
  • Ensure client deliverables are proofed, number-checked, and error free.
  • Begin to provide strategic recommendations and contribute to strategic thinking on projects.
  • Moderate online discussion boards, as needed.
  • May begin to learn skills of moderating qualitative assignments, starting with in-depth interviews.


  • Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of experience in primary research. Experience in market research methodologies and consumer insights is valuable, though the primary focus for this role will be on corporate reputation and public affairs research. We will consider candidates with a political research background looking to transition to brand and public affairs research. 
  • Experience in executing every stage of a research project – both quantitative and qualitative.  
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • A proven ability to successfully juggle multiple projects.
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly produce high-quality work products.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail and experience with catching mistakes and being detail oriented.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel Word).
  • Experience/coursework with statistics and advanced quantitative methods, a plus.


  • The base salary for this position is between $ 70,000 to $80,000 commensurate with experience and is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
