We are currently seeking a Design Integration Manager to join our dynamic team and contribute to our legacy of building the foundation for future generations.
Job Summary:
The Design Integration Manager serves as a key liaison between design, construction, and project leadership teams, ensuring design intent aligns with constructability, cost, and schedule objectives. This role coordinates all aspects of design-build planning, pursuit development, and design management throughout project execution.
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:
- Motivate: Drive performance by engaging and aligning diverse professionals to meet project needs, even when it requires stepping outside traditional design processes.
- Advocate: Foster and sustain a collaborative environment among owners, designers, contractors, and trade partners with varying backgrounds and viewpoints.
- Sheriff: Oversee the design process to ensure progress aligns with target value budgets, milestones, and schedule commitments.
- Communicate: Translate effectively across the languages of “owner,” “designer,” “contractor,” and “trade partner” to ensure clear, consistent understanding among all stakeholders.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
- Participate in multi-discipline engineering teams for Transportation (freeways, interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural highways, and shared-use facilities), Design-Build (DB) and/or Progressive Design-Build (PDB) pursuits and projects.
- Coordinate project pursuit design and deliverables to meet estimating and construction needs.
- Develop project models and perform quantity takeoffs.
- Lead and coordinate constructability reviews, pursuit and project engineering refinement, and concept evaluations.
- Manage electronic and digital information for the project team to ensure version control, accessibility, and data integrity.
- Support proposal development and presentations during design-build pursuits, ensuring technical accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate closely with estimating, operations, and design partners to optimize design solutions that balance performance, schedule, and cost.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Professional Engineering License is preferred
- 2+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure design
- Must be able to work effectively as a team leader in a group environment and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients
- Advanced understanding of Bently Open Roads Designer and ProjectWise Explorer.
- Outstanding client and personnel skills and the ability to persuasively communicate at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, walk, stand; Able to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- This position requires in-person work.
- Professional, business casual office environment.
