Summary:
Vighter is recruiting multiple dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to serve at the Office of Community Care (OCC), 4100 E. Mississippi Ave, Glendale, CO 80246. Vighter is a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned Small Business that is accredited by both the Joint Commission and ISO-9001. Principle Accountabilities:
- The RN assigned provide direct and indirect nursing care, by contributing to the patient’s assessment, determining priorities, identifying nursing measures and therapeutic objectives and evaluating outcomes. The position requires independent judgment and nursing actions, flexibility, organizational skills, and the ability to utilize an interdisciplinary approach in the provision of nursing care.
- Routine adult immunizations according to the guidelines from the Center for Disease Control (CDC): including Tetanus-diphtheria (Td), Tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap), Influenza, and pneumococcal (pneumonia) vaccines;
- Destination specific travel information from the CDC to include RN consultation for questions about the information provided;
- Consultations of general health concerns;
- Care prescribed by an employee’s personal physician including administration of medications, blood pressure and glucose (blood sugar) monitoring, wound care, and periodic bedrest;
- Health screenings including vision, blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and other risk factors for heart disease;
- Management of designated lactation space located within the clinic space to include regular cleaning of the room and any agency provided equipment.
- Clinic staff participation in occupant emergency planning;
- The RN staff shall be available for in-person services during business hours outlined in the SOW.
- Occasional schedule flexibility with a desired end state of 100% staffing and 100% service to the patients that we provide care to.
- Knowledge of regulations (HIPAA/Privacy Act) regarding the confidentiality of patient medical records and information as well as Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have exceptional customer service skills.
- Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
Education:
- An Associates or Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from an accredited university is required for this position.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience within the last three (3) years as a Registered Nurse.
- The provider shall possess the required qualification/elements to be privileged and/or credentialed in accordance with the background checks, fingerprinting, badging, annual fit testing, and pre-employment and annual drug testing.
- The qualifications at a minimum will be based on Joint Commission (JC), or equivalent, quality standards for training, education, and competency.
- Must have and maintain one of the following certifications: Basic Life Support for health care providers through the American Heart Association®, CPR for the professional rescuer through the American Red Cross or the American Safety and Health Institute.
- Resume must reflect sufficient level of expertise in Emergency Medicine or Occupational Medicine to perform core responsibilities to include providing medical consultations, evaluations and treatment for both initial and follow-up of work-related injuries or diseases.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based medicine.
- Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.
Duty Hours / On-call Requirements
- This position has availabilities to work day shifts. Advanced notice will be provided for scheduling purposes. The duty hours for this position are Monday – Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day.
- Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
- Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry up to 10 feet.
- Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
- Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
- Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
- Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation.
- Must undergo urine drug screening (UDS).
- Most positions require a Tuberculosis skin test and an up-to-date immunization record.
